If you're an active adult thinking of buying a home for sale in Vero Beach, you may be deciding between new construction or a resale home. This is a concern many 55+ adult buyers face, one that merits considerable attention.
Why buy new construction?
There are some very obvious reasons why buyers prefer new construction. Who wouldn't be excited to live in a brand new home?
Here are a few reasons buyers love new construction:
1. It’s Move-in ready
Buyers love the convenience of new homes. Given the choice between a home where all you need to do is move in and a home where some minor repairs are needed, you'd almost surely pick the new construction.
2. Everything is new
From the walls to the floors and all the appliances, everything is brand new. You get to discover the different secrets of the home, which can be really exciting.
3. No repair expenses
If you're already spending the money to buy a new home, you don’t want to have to make repairs or updates for a long time. With all the warranties that come with a new home, it’s going to be a long time before you have to worry about replacing those very expensive items (like the roof.)
4. A more suitable modern design
Customers often tell me they want a home that has an “open” feel to it. They often don’t know what they’re asking for until they see an older home with a formal living room, family room, and a closed off kitchen. New construction homes feature an open floor concept which allows an easy flow and makes it easy to entertain guests.
5. Energy savings
With the continuous improvement of technology, new construction is more energy efficient than homes constructed five or ten years ago. This means new homes save more energy, which in turn saves you more money.
6. The option to choose
One of the most exciting things about buying new construction is the opportunity to personalize the look of the home. You get to decide the finish of the floor, you get to pick the colors of house, and you get to make the home all about you.
7. Your neighbors are new
Something most people don’t usually consider is that a new home in a new community means everyone is new. You are moving into a community where there are not a lot of established relationships. Everyone is looking to make friends.
What should you expect of new construction homes in active adult communities in Vero Beach?
